From the land of blurry pics and dodgy fan renderings come these two potential gems. Engadget Chinese posted these pics today right under a pic of a couple pairs of iPhone panties – no, seriously, we can’t make this kind of thing up. The specimen on the left is allegedly codenamed “Sneff” — though worthy of note is that a moderator at SEworld (see left pic watermark) has the same name, so take from that what you will. The device lacks any visible keyboard, so we are guessing that it boasts a touchscreen or is hiding a sliding keyboard or both. Could this be a hint of what the next Sony Ericsson smartphone design might look like? The more-believable-because-it-is-blurry cellphone on the right is tapped as the W750, it does indeed share some design features with the recently announced W880 but even money is on complete fabrication. CeBIT may offer some answers as early as next week, and if not there is always CTIA.

In the latest mobile installment of Keepin’ it real fake, we lavished our attention on one of the most revealing fake mobile concepts in a while — the “Sang Ericsson” handset that looks an awful lot like the freakish offspring if the official Sony Ericsson M600i and the W950i handsets were to bump uglies. That being said, the image at the top reveals what appears to be ugly chiclet, super-glued number keys and some kind of chrome navigation pad or joystick, along with that insanely beautiful “Sang Ericsson” at the top and those little Palm Zire-like built-in icon softkeys on the screen. Now, at least the “Nokir” E828 that looks surprisingly like an actual Nokia handset (yes, actual Nokia model N73) only changed one letter to remain fake off the Nokia name. Sang Ericsson changed two letters from Sony Ericsson. We have a winner!

Hungarian website Terminal.hu looks to have scored a couple of pics of Sony Ericsson’s yet-to-be-announced K850i Cybershot handset, which appears to boasts some specs similar to the company’s rumored “Sophia” device. The most notable of which is is the handset’s front-and-center 5-megapixel camera with a xenon flash, which gets backed up by a second 640 x 480 camera if that’s a little too much for you. Otherwise, the tri-band handset gets some impressive if not all that unusual specs, with QVGA display of unspecified size, GPRS and UMTS connectivity, and Bluetooth (with A2DP), but apparently not WiFi, as was rumored with the Sophia. All that’s squeezed into a slim 4.6 x 1.9 x 0.5 inch, candybar-style package. While there’s no word on an exact release date just yet, it’ll apparently make its debut sometime this spring, with an announcement possible as soon as CeBIT this week.

The Walkman phone’s sporty orange trim gets switched out for a classy attempt in gold on Sony Ericsson’s newest rendition, the W660. At a svelte 0.57-inches, the UMTS 2100 and GPRS 900/1800/1900 phone really packs in the goods with Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, FM radio support, a 2 megapixel camera, web browsing, RSS feeds, and a 512 MB Memory Stick Micro (upgradeable). It has a 2-inch color TFT display and totes random extras like TrackID, a music identification service, and a Picture Blogging function that allows you to send snapshots directly to your personal blog. To top off the lifestyle angle on this phone, Sony Ericsson has embellished the pants offa this one, with the aforementioned gold trim on both glossy color options, Record Black and Rose Red. The Rose Red (geez, what’s up with the cranberry hype?) model jazzes it up a bit more with its floral-themed relief pattern on the backside. For those of you who are more concerned with performance, you’ll get up to 6 hours of talk time on GSM, up to 2.5 hours with 3G, or a max of 25 hours of music listening. Expect to peep these newbies in select markets by Q2 of this year.

It’s not a surprise, but it’s still overwhelmingly refreshing to see Sony Ericsson finally (and we do mean finally) bringing some 3G action onto AT&T. The “a” variant of the glossy, colorful Z750 clamshell will be hitting AT&T in an official capacity come early April, featuring an OLED external display cleverly concealed by the phone’s translucent shell, a 2 megapixel camera and media player both backed up with Memory Stick Micro M2 expansion, stereo Bluetooth, and of course, that lovely HSDPA 850 / 1900 that’s eluded Sony Ericsson’s AT&T offerings for far, far too long. Look for it to go out the door for $49.99 after a $100 rebate.
