Hitachi DZ-BD9H Hybrid Camcorder
Hitachi’s DZ-BD9H hybrid camcorder has hopped on the Blu-ray bandwagon after HD DVD’s (seemingly) death knell earlier this month. Should you actually run out of space on the 60GB hard drive while recording your own home movie, there is always the option to store an additional hour of full HD footage on an 8cm Blu-ray disc.

The Japanese will get this in February for $1,691, while those who want to opt for the HDD-only version will have to wait till March, albeit dropping less coin at $1,315. It ought to arrive Stateside sometime later this year though.
