Limited Edition Reebok Timetanium by John Maeda
Here’s the Limited Edition Reebok Timetanium shoes. It is designed by world-renowned artist, graphic designer, and computer scientist, John Maeda. The shoes combine colorful, complex graphics on the heel and fades to a simple, more linear design toward the toe. Finding inspiratiom in the Law 3: Time, from his book “The Laws of Simplicity”, Maeda created the graphic bought to the life on the new Reebok Timetanium Shoe. Designed through a computer process utilizing Maeda’s mathematical algorithms, the graphic adorns the outside of the shoes, while the original handwritten code is hidden on the shoes’ lining. Though it begins complex at the heel, the graphic evolves into a focused expression of simplicity at the toe creating an attractive visual design.
