Message Mate Fan

At gadgeshop HQ, we don’t bother much for fans, given that our lab is so well chilled by cryonic thermocoolers than even in August it’s positively Baltic. But you may not be so lucky, and, like myriad British workers, rely on a humble deskfan for refreshment as you slave over that hot keyboard of yours.
For years, office rules have rendered the Great British Worker silent. With increasing bans on mobiles, inter-personal fraternisation and now a broadside against the new-fangled social networking applications, there’s an ever-decreasing number of ways to express one’s individuality between the hours of 9 and 5.
Until now, that is, and a truly pioneering yet cunning contraption that combines desk-based cooling device and personal messaging whatsit. Simply flick the switch and the fan springs to life like any other, except a message sequence in fat orange letters appears to scroll within the fan itself. Remarkable.
An in-built LED strip does all the hard work, rotating with the primary blade to create the illusion of moving text, circling the face of the fan as it rotates. A set of handy buttons on the side of the fan handle enable the storage and editing of six alphanumeric messages including letters, digits and commonplace punctuation marks. So there’s no excuse for sloppy syntax now, is there?
