purse snatching suspects
This morning, police have a better idea of a man and woman who they are looking for in a purse snatching at the Kroger in North Augusta. This happening around 5:45PM on Monday afternoon, in broad daylight. We’re told the man stole the purse and the woman used one of the victims credit cards. If you have any information, call the police.
autopsy results in triple murder are in
The rest of the autopsy results from the recent triple murder in Augusta are in this morning, but investigators can not positively identify the young woman found dead and partially burned at Lock and Dam Park. However, Richmond County Coroner Grover Tuton is 99% sure the body is that of Allyson Pederson.
columbia county rezoning
High schoolers in Columbia County will be switching schools a year earlier than expected. The rezoned areas include Hereford Farm, Louisville and Flowing Wells Roads which affects about 90 students. The board originally set the rezoning for August of 2009.
columbia county bomb threat
More bomb threats land another teenager in jail this morning. 17-year-old Dewayne Clemons is a student at Greenbriar High Schools. Deputies say he’s responsible for a bomb threat there. Investigators tells News 12, Clemons went to the office Tuesday morning, telling school leaders he found a note about a bomb threat in the bathroom. But deputies say Clemons was the one who wrote the note in the first place. Now, he’s facing adult charges related to terrorism.
search for a driver in a deadly wreck
Investigators are looking for the driver of a white car - possibly a Ford Taurus — who may be responsible for the death of 2 Lakeside High School 2005 graduates over the weekend. Jessica Fulmer and Melissa Eustice were killed on I-16 Sunday afternoon after witnesses say the possible white car tried to merge into the left lane from the right. A third person in the car - Jamie Carter - is still in critical condition at a Savannah Hospital.
