Peter England To Make Footwear & Eyewear

Elite, the premium sub-brand launched recently by the Madura Garment’s mid-priced brand Peter England, is all geared up to expand its range with footwear and eyewear. Elite witnessed a formal launch in Bangalore sometime back and is ready to hit the Indian apparel market nationally by March 2008. It is learnt that in the time to come, Elite will proffer everything in the premium section. And if this premium sub-brand delivers as expected, it could spin off from Peter England completely into an independent brand.

Industry insiders revealed that similar plans are being hatched up for another casual wear brand titled Elements and the parent brand Peter England. The parent brand’s forte lies in formal wear, but profit input from casual line Elements also has been hiking up quite impressively. Currently, Elements makes up 20 per cent of Peter England’s profits and is expected to increase further. Elite, on the other hand, is expected to fetch about 10 per cent revenues in the initial phase.
