Modern pickup trucks have evolved from traditional, heavy-duty workhorses to everyday vehicles, thanks to their versatility and car-like comfort. The already competitive full-size segment is heating up now that Toyota (on its third try), has finally crafted a real competitor to this domestic-dominated market.
The redesigned Toyota Tundra is aimed squarely at the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra and Dodge Ram. It seems truck buyers are beginning to take notice of the updated Tundra — it was the most researched truck on MSN Autos in 2007.
Close behind are the two best-selling trucks, the F-150 and Silverado in second and fourth place, respectively. With nearly 700,000 in sales for the F-Series and over 618,000 units sold for the Silverado, these are also the best-selling vehicles in the nation.
