.au domain policy changes to be debated

Monday, April 14th, 2008 by admin

With the ban on advertising .au domain names soon to be lifted and selling Aussie domain names to become legal, the Australian eCommerce Network is organising seminars in April in Sydney and Melbourne to discuss the changes. The seminars will also discuss whether domain names will “still be like now - expensive, difficult, and heavily regulated by .au Domain Administration Ltd?”

Speakers are still being coordinated, but the two-hour seminars will be held on Wednesday April 9 (Sydney) and Thursday April 17 (Melbourne) in CBD locations. Seminars commence at 18.00.

The seminars will cost A$60 (+GST). To register online now for the Sydney or Melbourne seminars, go to http://www.aecn.org/ and follow the links.
